Practice is 5 days a week for at least two hours. Each player is expected to be at every practice, every
day. Failure to appear at practice without an excused absence could result in dismissal from the team.
If a player fails to appear at practice with an excused absence, the player is responsible for making up
all running that was completed during the missed practice.
All players are required to fundraise for the program. Several fundraisers are provided for the program
during the year. Some will have required participation. Other fundraisers that are provided are for
players to raise the money for their equipment cost.
Volleyball is a team sport, and teams require 100% commitment. No player is allowed to work during
volleyball season unless it does not interfere with the practice and game schedule. Remember that
practice and game times can change at the last minute. Any employment that you have must be able
to accommodate the changes in the schedule.
All players are required to keep a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average. Failure to keep this grade
point average will result in punishment set by the coach.
All players on all teams encompass the Allatoona volleyball program, therefore when ever possible;
players will support the other teams. This includes staying for varsity and JV home matches and
tournaments and working as score keepers, libero trackers, and line judges.
Player responsibilities include setting up and taking down the net for practice, setting up and breaking
down the gym for home matches, keeping the playing area and locker room clean at all times, keeping
track of uniforms during season, and returning them when the season is completed, and always acting
in the appropriate way when representing Allatoona volleyball, including at non school sponsored
activities.
All players are required to participate in community service for a minimum of 15 hours. These activities
can be school, church, or community sponsored. All community service must be approved by the
coaches before being completed, and must be logged into a service log upon completion. You must
represent Allatoona volleyball when logging your hours. Community service opportunities will be
available through the program as well.
Negative attitudes towards anyone in the Allatoona volleyball family will not be tolerated. All conflicts of
interest need to be resolved immediately in a professional manner. Friends and family members are
included in the Allatoona volleyball family. Please make sure that they act accordingly.
Playing time for athletes is at the coach’s discretion. The number one goal is to win while having fun.
The best players will be on the floor to ensure this goal is met. The coaches are available to discuss
what players can do to improve skills to help increase playing time.
All athletes are required to complete an individual player conference at the end of the season to
discuss player strengths and weaknesses and their plans for the future.
I understand the above contract, and I agree to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Allatoona
Volleyball program. I understand that failure to follow these rules will result in punishment decided upon by
the coaches, including possible dismissal from the team.
